The air in the MJS Corp meeting room was thick enough to cut with a ceremonial dagger. It wasn't the Delhi heat, though that certainly played a part. It was the glacial presence of Madhav Jai Singh, the 28-year-old CEO, at the head of the mahogany table. He sat ramrod straight, his tailored suit resisting any hint of a wrinkle, his dark eyes โ so like his late father's โ fixed on the PowerPoint presentation flickering on the wall.
Madhav hadn't said a word since he'd entered, but the silence spoke volumes. It spoke of immense wealth, inherited power, and a razor-sharp intellect that could dissect a balance sheet in seconds. It spoke of a man who expected perfection, demanded loyalty, and tolerated incompetence with a cruelty that was both subtle and devastating.
